Home Movie Days - Selections from the Kentucky Amateur Film Archives

Katrina M. Dixon and Brian L. Frye present a selection of amateur films from the eclectic collection of the Kentucky Amateur Film Archives, in-cluding home movies and amateur films projected on 16mm and transferred from 8mm film to video. The program will include an 8mm home movie of the Kentucky Derby from the 1950s, a 16mm home movie of Mammoth Cave in the 1944, a 16mm home of the University of Kentucky in 1951, and an 8mm home movie from Hungary in the 1950s. It may also include 9.5mm and 28mm home movies from the 1920s.

The Kentucky Amateur Film Archives is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Lexington, Kentucky. Its mission is to collect, preserve, and provide access to home movies and amateur films, with a focus on films made in Kentucky and its surrounding states, or by people from those states.
